Airbus Lines Outside of Europe Delivered Most of The Aircraft in January

Airbus' delivery figures for January are unusual because, as a result of the air transport crisis, the majority of aircraft were delivered from non-European final assembly lines.

The aircraft has five assembly line locations, in Toulouse, Hamburg, Tianjin, Mobile and Montreal, with two European locations responsible for the majority of single-aisle and all double-aisle assemblies.

However, the disruption in production and demand, especially in the long-haul sector, was reflected in the reduction of Airbus production.

The fuselage delivered 21 aircraft in January, but only 10 were shipped from French and German routes, five each, according to data from Cirium's fleet.

Six of the planes were delivered from the US Mobile factory, three from the Chinese plant in Tianjin and two from the Montreal Mirabel facility.

The fuselage delivery in January consisted of three A220s, 16 A320 family aircraft, plus one A350 and a single A330neo.

Airbus has not indicated whether any aircraft should be parked in January as a result of delivery disruptions following the reimposition of travel restrictions related to the pandemic.
